Bank of China Tower is a well-known building in Hong Kong, China. The building is notable for its distinct shape and design, consisting of triangular frameworks covered by glass curtain walls. At a height of 315.0 m (1,033.5 ft), reaching 367.4 m (1,205.4 ft) high including masts, the building is the fourth tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong, after International Commerce Centre, Two International Finance Centre and Central Plaza. It was the tallest building in Hong Kong and Asia from 1989 to 1992, and it was the first supertall skyscraper outside the United States, the first to break the 305 m (1,000 ft) mark. It was surpassed by Central Plaza on the same island in 1992. Now without any humans, how will it survive in a life after people?

1 day after people: The stars in the night sky can't really be seen in the night of Hong Kong because of all of the light pollution accumulated from the skyscrapers of Hong Kong. As the tower glistens in the Hong Kong Skyline, the power fails and the tower and the city fall into permanent darkness. No longer will the stars be invisible from the light pollution of the city.

10 years after people: A typhoon strikes Hong Kong, shattering several dozen windows, allowing moisture to seep in and wreck havoc with the interior of the building. The metal frame begins to corrode as it rusts and weakens gradually.

15 years after people: During a thunderstorm, a lightning strikes a deteriorating taxi right next to the tower's lobby, setting it alight and the taxi explodes shortly after. The damage is minimal, with some supports slightly affected by the blast. The offices in the building are decaying quick and the supports are slowly becoming weaker and weaker.

50 years after people: The antenna on top of the Bank of China Tower can no longer hold out against nature's attacks. The entire spire come crashing down onto the tower, destroying several floors before it disintegrates. The tower still stands, but its overall height has gone down by 40 meters because of this.

100 years after people: The tower has been reduced to a towering skeleton of steel and concrete. Most windows have fallen from the building and the interior has been destroyed by the constant attacks from nature. The weakened tower still stands, at least for now.

125 years after people: The Bank of China Tower is the last skyscraper still standing high above Hong Kong, but 125 years of eroding have finally made the tower's supports crumble under the extreme weight of the tower. The tower slides and disappears into the streets of Hong Kong. The skyscraper, once an icon of China, now no longer graces the skyline.
